chapters 17-20 of Far North

    Summary: In chapters 17-20 at the beginning it talked about how they had hiked up the mountain and were hunting sheep. So along the way they camped out from time to time and it talked about how Raymond kept seeing a raven that apparently wasn't really there or at least that no one could see. So he keeps seeing the raven and he thinks its a sign of food somewhere so the follow the imaginary raven and find a clearing with a moose surrounded by wolves after 2 days. Then Gabe had to find a way to haul half the meat back to the cabin. On the way he ran into some overflow problems and almost got frostbite. And when he got back and built a cache for the meat and later found it torn down alongside bear tracks.They build a new cache in a tree and get cornered up there by the bear and when it finally goes away Gabe ends up spraining his knee and Raymond hurts his ankle even worse than that. When they get back to the cabin they talk for a while and Gabe gets the idea to start building a new cabin. Then one day when he's out to get water and the bear comes back and they give it some meat to go away and on the way back they talk about their home lives and Gabe convinces Raymond that he can get them both home after Raymond tells him he's almost certain they wont make it out with the condition they were in.
       Response to question 5: The one name I think I would change in the book if I were the author would probably be Raymond's. I can tell his family is kind of traditional in the old ways and stuff like that. Even Gabe's parents seem kind of traditional in a way with what I've read about them. But Raymond's personality seems a little less formal than his name suggests so I would have chosen a name or even nickname that better fits his personality. I think I'd name him something more along the lines of Jake or maybe Jasper.
          If  I were the author I would have been a little more specific as far as the setting. I think the author did a great job with description but they were in the woods and mountains so a lot of the stuff looked the same making it  hard to figure out where exactly they were or. Like the part where it talked about them hiking to through the mountains and them they just went back to the cabin.Were they going to hike to Yukon or not? And why did they turn back when they'd gone so far. It wasn't clear.
